We live in a college town, and just eight miles down the road is another college town with a larger University. For a couple of years we owned a used furniture and antique store. It seemed that people would regularly come in wanting corner furniture pieces: hutches, entertainment stands and, especially, corner desks. We rarely had them in stock. We were dependent upon buying directly from the public (whatever they brought in to sell), so we did not have a lot of control over used furniture inventory. Corner Computer Desks - Finding One that is “Just Right”
It’s exciting! I have just moved into my new office and am now trying to figure out what kind of desk to get. I don’t want a huge thing taking up all the room. But I do need something. A regular ol’ rectangle shaped desk would be functional and safe I guess. But a regular table wouldn’t be quite right, and I don’t want something ugly. I sort of feel like Goldi Locks, I want something “just right.” I want something special, something I can really use without it being the center of attention, maybe something I remember from my youth, something in the corner. The Progression of Home Office Furniture
The great thing about home office furniture is that it can be as simple or as sophisticated as we choose to make it. It progresses as we do. It wasn't that many years ago when I was using cinder blocks and an old door as a desk, a second hand end table for a printer stand, and some plastic milk cartons for my book shelves.
